Jaylee (also known as Jay Soo Lee) is a Product Designer based in Saint Paul, MN. Her unique background and experiences in both product and apparel bridges product innovation and fashion expertise.
Starting from the time she was a kid; Jaylee knew she wanted to be a designer. It all began when she learned how to sketch, pattern draft and sew with her grandma- and from there she never looked back. With over a decade of independent study in womenswear design, Jaylee has honed her knowledge of sewing techniques, construction methods, and historical garment recreation. Her passion lies in merging timeless design principles with innovative concepts, creating pieces that feel both vintage-inspired and contemporary. By integrating her product design education with her hands-on experience in garment construction, Jaylee delivers designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and craftsmanship.
Juli et Lee is Jaylee's creative vision side project—a space to refine her craft and develop a design language bridging traditional Asian influences and historical fashion with modern wearability. With a focus on intentional detail and cross-cultural dialogue, the brand reinterprets cultural motifs through a contemporary lens, reflecting Jaylee’s experiences as an Asian American designer. Since its launch, Juli et Lee has captivated audiences with its world-building designs, where individual pieces tell a story-often drawing from personal narratives and cultural motifs. Rosand’s work has graced runways across the Twin Cities fashion scene, earned features in independent publications, and was showcased at XIA Gallery in Saint Paul, MN.
Jaylee has recently been spending time honing her skills in creative direction and product development at Cubles- a MN local sustainable children's toy company. She enjoys being able to develop new products and be part of the creative team behind all of the magic.
Outside of the professional world, she can be found in her studio, usually sewing or crocheting. Besides artistic endeavors, she enjoys cooking up new recipes in the kitchen with her girlfriend, listening to oldies music and enjoying time in nature.
