These pieces were inspired by historical construction techniques, and the Victorian period. My main goal was to gain a better understanding of the essential methods that are used to shape the body, and to also explore notable fashion trends from the early 18th century. 

This dress is based on the structure of a 1996 Vivienne Westwood toile dress, with a fully corseted bodice, and full, gathered skirt.
