These pieces were inspired by historical fashion and they were born out of my obsessed with Victorian period at the time of their creation. My main goal was to gain a better understanding of the essential methods that were used for basic form-fitting garment construction in bodices, while also exploring historical fashion trends from the early 1800s in a modern reinterpretation. 

These garments were made before the Spring/Summer 2023 fashion period. 

This dress is based on the structure of a 1996 Vivienne Westwood toile dress, with a fully corseted bodice, and full, gathered skirt.

100% cotton, lining: cotton broadcloth
